NWB DOLPHINS - Team Information
Here's where you will find the general information about the Dolphin's Swim Team. Additional information on eligibility and fees can be found here.
All further up-to-date news, events, calendars, sign-ups, info, stats, etc. can be found on the DOLPHINS TEAM SITE.
NWB is a member of the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). The MCSL is made up of about 90 teams. Teams are grouped for competition based on the times swum by each team the previous season. "A" division has the team with the fastest times, "B" the next fastest, and so on down the alphabet.
This summer we are assigned to the "G" division of the MCSL with Franklin Knolls, Mohican, Wildwood Manor, Bannockburn, Stonebridge.
An important purpose of the MCSL is to provide organized, friendly team competition within a fair and wholesome environment and to foster good sportsmanship. We request that all swimmers and parents be respectful and show good sportsmanship at swim meets and swim team related events. Please take the time to read the codes of conduct on the bulletin board or view them online.
NWB...home of the Dolphins!
The NWB Dolphins Swim Team practice daily throughout the summer, under the supervision of experienced and accomplished coaches. Age-group meets are scheduled at both A and B levels of competition, so every athlete gets to swim at the appropriate levels of skill and experience.

Our Dolphins suit is once again the Dolfin Safari. It is a fully lined nylon suit, and available in limited sizes by various vendors online, or locally at Capitol Sport & Swim in Kensington, MD. Make sure you let them know you are a member of the NWB swim team for a discount on the suit.
Your child is not required to purchase a suit to join the team.
SWIM TEAM ACTIVITES
Saturdays after each A meet the team gets together to have lunch and distribute ribbons. We will have lunch at the pool after home meets and at a restaurant after away meets. Everyone is invited to join in the fun!
On Friday nights before home A meets, the team gets together at the pool to decorate, put together spirit/costumes and do cheers. Parents and teen volunteers are needed to get the pool set up for the following morning's meet.
The pre-team swimmers will have their own party and receive goody bags and trophies.
Swim Team Banquet
Team members and their families are invited for an evening of dinner and dancing at our annual Swim Team Banquet. Every swimmer will receive a trophy!
Other activities vary from year to year and typically include a Team Breakfast, Team Dinner and Lip Sync. Please check the NWB Dolphin bulletin board or website for information about upcoming events. New ideas are always welcome!
