2009 PARTING GIFT: On his last day swimming at NorthWest Branch pool, graduating senior Doug Mackenzie set two final NWB Pool Records -- the 15-18 Boys 100-Meter Freestyle and the 15-18 Boys 100-Meter IM. This clip shows the 100-Meter Freestyle. The meet was against Garrett Park, which the NWB Dolphins won by five points.

HEART & SOUL: A dramatic race in the 175-meter Boys’ 14-and-under Relay at the 2005 Divisional Championship proved that it’s not always what place you take in an event but how hard you try. It was glorious day for swimming and for cheering -- but it wasn’t that great for your nerves, at least not in this nail-biter.

DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS: Led by Coach Jared Fribush, the NorthWest Branch Dolphins broke four team records in the 2009 MCSL Divisionals. Melanie Snail shattered a record that was set in 1995. Gus Gonzalez grabbed a record from 2006. And Doug Mackenzie, seen in this clip, broke his own IM record from 2007 and a Fly record set by Luke Wang in 2005.
