NorthWest Branch website today recorded 10,000 visits to its Internet site since the virtual location was overhauled and relaunched five months ago.
The magic number, which includes repeat visitors, occurred at 8:55 am, July 6, 2006.
The volume of hits was verified by data collected by several online organizations including Apple Computer Inc. and Stat Counter.

Given that NWB has only a little more than 300 members, the total numbers of hits is impressive.
Feedback shows the website attracts not only current members and their families but also a large number of visitors who have been part of the NWB community in earlier generations. It also has gained wide attention in the regional swimming community and among website builders.
The initial NWB website, which was first published in May 2000, was the work of Weeun Wang who painstakingly collected a mother lode of NWB swim times and historical data on swim meets.
In its new incarnation, the site also features powerful graphics, photos, historical journeys, essays and breaking news related to NWB. The website’s Blog section alone has begun to create a vital history.
